
On April 13, the city of Moscow became the beating heart of the ITF Taekwon-Do world, hosting the thrilling Eurasia Cup tournament, organized by the ITF Union Federation. A total of 194 athletes from seven countries came together for a day of top-tier martial arts action, sportsmanship, and international friendship.
Competitors from Bangladesh, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Gambia, Iran, Ethiopia, and Russia were present, alongside teams from six Russian regions: Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Moscow Region, Ryazan, Omsk, and Krasnodar.
The level of performance was outstanding, with each athlete showcasing excellent preparation, resilience, and a true fighting spirit. The event was judged with fairness and professionalism by the experienced ITF Union officiating team, led by Chief Judge Arthur Fernando, Deputy Chief Judge Nikita Abramov, and Tournament Secretary Elizaveta Maul.
The opening ceremony featured a powerful speech from the Federation President, Gennadiy Stolyarevskiy, who encouraged athletes to strive for greatness. Kirill Semuchenkov, head coach of the Russian national team, welcomed the participants and reminded them that the primary goal of 2025 is to prepare for the World Cup in Argentina 2025
