







Noia, Galicia – This past weekend, the town of Noia hosted the third and final meeting of the FITE Galicia ITFU Taekwon-Do League, bringing together over 350 participants and marking the conclusion of a highly successful edition that has energized the martial arts community in Galicia.
The event wrapped up a league that began in December 2024 in Carballo, followed by the second meeting in Órdenes this past February. With the participation of seven Galician schools and invited competitors from Madrid and Extremadura, the Noia event delivered an intense and inspiring day filled with technique, spirit, and camaraderie.
The Liceo Society of Noia served as the main venue, hosting matches in categories ranging from children to black belts. Spectators witnessed the skill and growth of each competitor, the result of months of dedication and rigorous training.
The day began with an opening address by FITE President Carlos Martín, who expressed gratitude to the athletes, coaches, and families, emphasizing Taekwon-Do not only as a sport but also as a powerful tool for personal development.
Next, Óscar Prego, President of the Liceo Society, along with Vice President Emilio Gómez, highlighted the core values that guide Taekwon-Do practitioners: respect, discipline, and perseverance.
More than 40 referees were present to ensure a fair and professional environment, playing a key role in maintaining the integrity and smooth flow of the competition.
This final event not only closed a thrilling sports season but also cemented the FITE Galicia ITFU League as a benchmark in both regional and national Taekwon-Do. With record participation and an uplifting atmosphere, the Noia gathering leaves everyone eagerly awaiting the next edition.
